Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool before beginning work.
2. Inspect and Clean the Throttle Body
  1. Remove the intake duct leading to the throttle body using a socket set.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body.
  3. Use a throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and bore.
  4. Reconnect the electrical connector and reinstall the intake duct.
3. Replace Fuel Filter (if applicable)
  1. Locate the fuel filter; refer to the vehicle's service manual for location.
  2. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  3. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using appropriate line removal tools.
  4. Install the new fuel filter, ensuring all connections are secure and leak-free.
  5. Reinstall the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition on to prime the system.
4. Replace Spark Plugs
  1. Remove the engine cover to access the ignition coils.
  2. Disconnect the wiring harness from each ignition coil.
  3. Remove the coil packs using a socket set and inspect for wear.
  4. Replace the spark plugs with new ones, ensuring the gap is set to manufacturer's specifications.
  5. Reinstall the ignition coils and wiring harness.
5. Reconnect the Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery and ensure it's secure.
