Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery negative terminal to prevent electrical shorts during repairs.
2. Clean Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  2. Using a throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth, clean the inside of the throttle body to remove carbon deposits.
  3. Reconnect the air intake duct securely.
3. Check and Replace Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (if faulty)
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  2. Remove the sensor from its mounting location using a socket set.
  3. Install the new accelerator pedal position sensor, ensuring it is properly aligned.
  4. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Inspect Wiring and Connectors
  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the throttle body and accelerator pedal for frays or damage.
  2. Use a multimeter to check for continuity and proper voltage at the connectors while the ignition is in the ON position.
5. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the battery negative terminal and ensure that all connections are secure.
