Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth, screwdriver set.
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a cloth and wipe the inside of the throttle body to remove carbon deposits.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace Air Filter
  • Tools Required: Socket set, new air filter.
  • Locate the air filter housing and remove it using the socket set.
  • Remove the old air filter and replace it with a new one, ensuring it fits snugly.
  • Reassemble the air filter housing and secure it with the fasteners.
4. Check and Replace Spark Plugs (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Spark plug socket, torque wrench, new spark plugs.
  • Remove the ignition coils by unscrewing the retaining bolts.
  • Pull out the ignition coils and unscrew the old spark plugs.
  • Install new spark plugs and torque them to the manufacturer’s specifications (usually around 18-22 lb-ft).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils securely.
5. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  • Tools Required: MAF sensor cleaner.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the MAF sensor.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from its housing.
  • Spray MAF sensor cleaner onto the sensor element and allow it to dry.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the wiring harness.
