Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, CR2032 battery (or applicable battery type), and a multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, stationary position.
2. Open Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Take care not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Replace Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob.
  • Clean the battery contacts gently with a cotton swab if corroded.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery (or applicable) ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Reassemble Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click securely.
  • Ensure no gaps are visible; the fob should feel solid.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed and locked.
  • Insert the key fob into the ignition slot.
  • Turn the key to the "On" position without starting the engine and back to "Off" five times within ten seconds.
  • The vehicle will indicate successful programming with a chime or light flash.
6. Test Key Fob
  • After reprogramming, test all buttons to ensure proper functionality.
  • Attempt to lock/unlock the doors and start the engine.
