Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Floor jack, jack stands, wheel chocks, socket set, torque wrench.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Disconnect the battery if working on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Replace Power Steering Fluid
  • Locate the power steering reservoir.
  • Remove the cap and check the fluid level. If low, add the recommended fluid type (usually ATF or specific power steering fluid).
  • If fluid is dirty, perform a full fluid flush.
3. Inspect and Replace Wheel Bearings
  • Lift the front of the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the front wheels using a socket set.
  • Check for play in the wheel bearing by grasping the top and bottom of the wheel and shaking it. If there is movement, replace the bearing.
  • To replace, remove the brake caliper and rotor, then unbolt the bearing assembly. Install the new bearing and torque to manufacturer specifications.
4. Inspect and Replace CV Joints
  • Examine the CV boots for tears or leaks. If damaged, replace the CV joint.
  • To replace, remove the wheel, unbolt the axle from the hub, and slide the axle out of the transmission. Install the new CV joint and torque all bolts to specifications.
5. Check and Replace Suspension Components
  • Inspect tie rods and ball joints for wear. If any components are loose or damaged, they must be replaced.
  • Use a socket set to unbolt the damaged parts and install new components, torquing to specifications.
