Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
2. Check Brake Fluid Level
  • Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.
  • If fluid is low, top off with the manufacturer-recommended brake fluid (DOT 4).
  • Inspect for signs of contamination or debris in the fluid.
3. Inspect and Repair Leaks
  • Visually inspect brake lines, calipers, and the master cylinder for signs of leaks.
  • If leaks are found, replace the damaged brake line or caliper as needed.
  • Use appropriate brake line fittings and ensure a proper seal.
4. Bleed Brake System
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times to build pressure.
  • Using a brake bleeder kit, start bleeding from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder and work towards the closest:
    • Attach a clear tube to the bleeder valve of each caliper.
    • Open the bleeder valve and have the assistant press the brake pedal.
    • Close the valve before the pedal is released.
    • Repeat until clean fluid is observed and no air bubbles are present.
  • Check fluid levels in the reservoir and top off as necessary.
5. Final Inspection
  • Re-check all connections and components for leaks or loose fittings.
  • Test drive the vehicle to ensure the brake pedal feels firm and responsive.
