Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical issues.
2. Check Oil Level
  • Remove the dipstick and clean it with a cloth.
  • Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level.
  • If low, add the appropriate engine oil (refer to owner's manual for specifications).
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Tools Required: Socket set, oil filter wrench
  • Locate the oil filter, use the oil filter wrench to remove it.
  • Apply a thin layer of new oil to the rubber O-ring of the new filter.
  • Install the new oil filter and tighten it to the manufacturer’s specifications (usually hand-tight plus a quarter turn).
4. Change Engine Oil
  • Tools Required: Socket set, oil drain pan, funnel
  • Place an oil drain pan under the oil pan and remove the drain plug using a socket.
  • Allow the old oil to drain completely.
  • Replace the drain plug and tighten it to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
  • Refill with new engine oil through the oil filler cap using a funnel.
5. Replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Locate the oil pressure sending unit, typically near the oil filter.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and use a socket to remove the sending unit.
  • Install the new sending unit and tighten it to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
6. Final Checks
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Start the engine and check for oil leaks around the filter and sending unit.
  • Monitor the oil pressure warning light; it should turn off if the issue is resolved.
