Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, small flathead screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), and a soft cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure area with enough lighting.
2. Check and Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob: Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove Old Battery: Take out the old battery and note the orientation (positive and negative sides).
  3. Install New Battery: Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation as the old one.
  4. Reassemble Key Fob: Carefully snap the key fob casing back together.
  5. Test Key Fob: Press the buttons to check if the LED lights up and if the vehicle responds.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Vehicle: Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Turn Ignition On: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'On' position, but do not start the engine.
  3. Press Any Key Fob Button: While in the 'On' position, press any button on the key fob for about 10 seconds.
  4. Turn Ignition Off: Turn the ignition back to the 'Off' position.
  5. Test Key Fob: Attempt to unlock the vehicle with the key fob.
