1. Preparation

2. Replace Oil Filter

• Tools Required: Oil filter wrench, oil catch pan, socket set.
• Remove the oil catch pan under the vehicle.
• Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
• Apply a thin layer of new oil to the gasket of the new filter.
• Install the new oil filter, tightening it according to the specifications (usually hand-tight plus a quarter turn).

3. Replace Gaskets or Seals

• Tools Required: Gasket scraper, torque wrench, socket set, sealant (if required).

• For the valve cover gasket:

  1. Remove any components obstructing access to the valve cover.
  2. Unbolt the valve cover and carefully lift it off.
  3. Remove the old gasket and clean the mating surfaces.
  4. Install the new gasket, ensuring proper alignment.
