Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver and a new cabin air filter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  • Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment, press them inwards to allow the compartment to drop down fully.
  • Disconnect the damper arm on the right side if applicable.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter cover; it is typically behind the glove compartment.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off the clips or screws securing the cabin air filter cover.
  • Remove the cover and take out the old cabin air filter, noting its orientation for the new filter installation.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented correctly (check for airflow direction arrows).
  • Insert the new filter into the compartment, ensuring it fits snugly.
  • Replace the cabin air filter cover and secure it with the clips or screws.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Reattach the damper arm to the glove compartment if removed.
  • Lift the glove compartment back into position and ensure the stops are engaged.
