1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Torx screwdriver (T20)
    • Clean cloth or vacuum
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all contents.
  2. Locate the dampening arm on the right side of the glove compartment, and gently pull it off to allow the compartment to drop fully.
  3. Detach the glove compartment by removing the screws with the Torx screwdriver, typically found on the upper and lower edges.
  4. Once unscrewed, gently pull the glove compartment out of its housing.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically on the right side behind the glove compartment.
  2. Unclip the cover by pressing the tabs and pulling it off.

4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented in the same direction as the old one (usually indicated by an arrow).
  2. Slide the new filter into the housing until it is seated properly.
  3. Reattach the cabin air filter cover by snapping it back into place.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Reinsert the glove compartment back into its housing.
  2. Secure the screws using the Torx screwdriver.
  3. Reattach the dampening arm to the right side of the glove compartment.
  4. Refill the glove compartment with its contents.
