Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the vehicle to cool if it has been recently driven.
2. Remove the Wheel
  • Tools Required: Jack, jack stands, lug wrench.
    • Safely lift the vehicle using a jack and support it with jack stands.
    • Remove the front left wheel using the lug wrench.
3. Replace Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Tools Required: Ratchet and socket set, torque wrench.
    • Locate the wheel speed sensor on the front left wheel hub assembly.
    • Disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor.
    • Remove the retaining bolt securing the wheel speed sensor using the ratchet and socket.
    • Carefully pull the old sensor out of the hub assembly.
4. Install New Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Insert the new wheel speed sensor into the hub assembly.
  • Secure it with the retaining bolt and tighten it to the manufacturer’s torque specifications (typically around 8-10 Nm, but check the specific manual for your model).
  • Reconnect the wiring harness to the new sensor.
5. Reinstall the Wheel and Reconnect Battery
  • Place the wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque (usually around 110-120 Nm).
  • Reconnect the battery.
