Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, flathead and Phillips screwdrivers, replacement cabin air filter.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Locate the cabin air filter access panel (usually under the glove box).
    2. Remove the screws or clips securing the panel.
    3. Slide out the old cabin air filter and dispose of it.
    4. Insert the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly according to airflow direction.
    5. Reattach the access panel securely.
3. Test Blower Motor
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Reconnect the battery.
    2. Turn on the ignition and set the climate control to the highest fan speed.
    3. Measure voltage at the blower motor connector using a multimeter; it should read around 12 volts.
    4. If voltage is present but the blower does not operate, replace the blower motor.
4. Inspect and Replace HVAC Control Module (if necessary)
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the dashboard panel covering the HVAC control module (refer to service manual for specific instructions).
    2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the control module.
    3. Remove the module from its mounting bracket.
    4. Install the new HVAC control module and reconnect the connectors.
    5. Replace the dashboard panel securely.
