Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, jack and jack stands.
  • Safety Warnings: Disconnect the battery before working on the electrical systems to prevent short circuits.
2. Inspect and Replace Wheel Speed Sensors
  1. Lift the Vehicle:

    • Use a jack to raise the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  2. Remove the Wheel:

    • Using a socket set, remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel to access the wheel speed sensor.
  3. Disconnect the Wheel Speed Sensor:

    • Locate the connector for the wheel speed sensor and carefully disconnect it.
  4. Remove the Wheel Speed Sensor:

    • Unscrew the sensor from its mounting using the appropriate socket. Note the position for installation.
  5. Install New Wheel Speed Sensor:

    • Position the new sensor in place and tighten it to the manufacturer's torque specifications (typically around 8-10 Nm).
  6. Reconnect the Sensor:

    • Reconnect the electrical connector to the new wheel speed sensor.
  7. Reinstall the Wheel:

    • Place the wheel back on the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications.
3. Reset the ABS Module
  1. Reconnect the Battery:

    • Reconnect the battery terminals, ensuring they are secure.
  2. Clear Error Codes:

    • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear the C0001 code and any other related codes in the ABS module.
