Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
  • Reconnect the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace the Idle Air Control Valve (if faulty)
  • Locate the IACV, which is typically situated on or near the throttle body.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the IACV.
  • Remove the mounting screws and take out the old IACV.
  • Install the new IACV and secure it with mounting screws.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Inspect and Replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (if needed)
  • Locate the engine coolant temperature sensor, usually near the thermostat housing.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
  • Remove the sensor using a socket wrench.
  • Apply thread sealant to the new sensor and install it in the reverse order of removal.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
