Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, torque wrench, oil pressure gauge, oil filter wrench, oil catch pan.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool. Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Inspect Oil Level
  • Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean. Reinsert and remove it again to check the oil level.
  • If low, add the appropriate type of oil as specified in the owner's manual.
3. Replace Oil Filter (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Oil filter wrench.
  • Locate the oil filter. Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old filter.
  • Apply a thin layer of new oil to the rubber gasket of the new filter. Install the new filter and tighten it according to manufacturer specifications (generally hand-tight).
4. Change Engine Oil (if necessary)
  • Place an oil catch pan under the oil pan. Remove the drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely.
  • Replace the drain plug and tighten it to the specified torque (typically 25 Nm).
  • Fill the engine with the appropriate oil type and amount as per the owner's manual.
5. Replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit (if faulty)
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the oil pressure sending unit.
  • Use a socket to remove the sending unit from the engine.
  • Install the new oil pressure sending unit and tighten it to the specified torque (typically around 20 Nm).
  • Reconnect the wiring harness.
