Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
2. Drain Transmission Fluid
  • Locate the transmission fluid drain plug.
  • Use a socket set to remove the drain plug and allow the fluid to completely drain into a suitable container.
  • Replace the drain plug with a new washer to prevent leaks.
3. Remove Transmission Oil Pan
  • Remove the bolts securing the transmission oil pan using a socket set.
  • Carefully detach the oil pan, taking care not to damage the gasket.
  • Clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and transmission housing.
4. Replace Pressure Control Solenoid "B"
  • Locate the pressure control solenoid "B" within the transmission assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
  • Remove the mounting bolts and take out the faulty solenoid.
  • Install the new pressure control solenoid "B" and secure it with the mounting bolts, ensuring the correct torque specifications are followed (typically 8-10 Nm).
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Reinstall Transmission Oil Pan
  • Apply a new gasket or sealant to the oil pan.
  • Position the oil pan back onto the transmission and secure it with the bolts, adhering to the proper torque specifications (typically 10-12 Nm).
6. Refill Transmission Fluid
  • Refill the transmission with the appropriate type and amount of fluid as specified in the owner's manual.
  • Use a funnel to avoid spills and ensure the fluid level is correct.
7. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Start the vehicle and allow it to reach operating temperature.
  • Shift through all gears to ensure proper operation.
