Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the engine is off and cooled down.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical issues.
2. Remove the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, screwdriver.
  • Remove any engine covers obstructing access to the throttle body.
  • Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector.
  • Remove the throttle body mounting bolts using the socket set.
  • Carefully detach the throttle body from the intake manifold, taking care not to damage the gasket.
3. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft brush or rag to remove carbon buildup and dirt from the throttle body.
  • Pay special attention to the throttle plate and the bore.
  • Ensure no cleaner residue is left, and allow the throttle body to dry completely.
4. Reinstall the Throttle Body
  • Position the cleaned throttle body back onto the intake manifold.
  • Install a new gasket if necessary.
  • Hand-tighten the mounting bolts, then use a torque wrench to secure them to the manufacturer's specified torque (refer to the service manual for values).
  • Reconnect the throttle body electrical connector.
5. Reconnect the Battery
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and allow the vehicle’s electronic throttle control system to recalibrate.
