Solution

1. Preparation

• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

2. Inspect and Clean the Throttle Body

• Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
• Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
• Reinstall the air intake duct and reconnect any electrical connectors.

3. Replace Spark Plugs

• Remove the ignition coil connectors and bolts, then take out the ignition coils.
• Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
• Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped correctly according to the manufacturer specifications.
• Reinstall the ignition coils and connectors.

4. Check and Replace the Fuel Filter

• Locate the fuel filter; it may require special tools for access.
• Disconnect the fuel lines using a line removal tool, being cautious of fuel spillage.
• Replace with a new fuel filter and reconnect the fuel lines securely.

5. Clean or Replace Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor

• Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the MAF sensor from the intake duct.
• Spray MAF cleaner on the sensor elements; allow it to dry completely.
