Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

Tools Required:

  • Multimeter
  • OBD-II scanner
  • Socket set
  • Torque wrench
  • Screwdrivers
2. Inspect and Replace Headlight Bulbs
  • Remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing the retaining bolts.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb socket.
  • Remove the old bulb by twisting it counterclockwise and replace it with a new bulb.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness and secure the headlight assembly back in place.
3. Test Battery and Alternator
  • Reconnect the battery and start the vehicle.
  • Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the battery terminals; it should read between 12.4V - 12.7V at rest.
  • With the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery again; it should read between 13.7V - 14.7V. If not, the alternator may need replacement.
4. Inspect Wiring and Connectors
  • Visually inspect all wiring harnesses and connectors associated with the headlights.
  • Look for signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections.
  • Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors.
5. Test and Replace Headlight Relay (if necessary)
  • Locate the headlight relay in the fuse box.
  • Remove the relay and test it with a multimeter to ensure proper operation.
  • Replace the relay if it is faulty.
