Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts during repair.
2. Recharge Refrigerant
  • Tools Required: Refrigerant gauge, refrigerant canister.
  • If the refrigerant level is low:
    1. Connect the refrigerant gauge to the low-pressure service port.
    2. Start the engine and turn on the AC to the maximum setting.
    3. Slowly add refrigerant while monitoring the gauge to reach the specified pressure (consult the vehicle manual for correct pressure).
    4. Disconnect the gauge once the desired level is achieved.
3. Replace AC Compressor (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, wrenches, torque wrench.
  • If the AC compressor is damaged:
    1. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the AC compressor.
    3. Unscrew the bolts securing the compressor to the mounting bracket.
    4. Remove the compressor and replace it with a new one.
    5. Reinstall the bolts and torque them to the manufacturer’s specifications.
4. Replace AC Relay or Fuses (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Fuse puller or pliers.
  • If the relay or fuses are blown:
    1. Locate the AC relay in the fuse box.
    2. Remove the faulty relay and replace it with a new one.
    3. Check and replace any blown fuses related to the AC system.
5. Replace Cabin Air Filter (if needed)
  • Tools Required: None.
  • If the cabin air filter is clogged:
    1. Locate the cabin air filter compartment (usually under the dashboard or behind the glove box).
    2. Remove the old filter and install a new one, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
