Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials needed.
  • Tools Required:
    • 8mm hex key or socket (for the fill plug)
    • Clean funnel
    • Rags for cleanup
    • Transmission fluid (check specifications for type)
2. Locate the Fill Plug
  • Identify the location of the transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission.
  • Make sure the vehicle is securely parked and the engine is running to reach the correct operating temperature.
3. Inspect Fluid Level
  • Use the 8mm hex key or socket to remove the fill plug from the transmission.
  • Carefully observe if any fluid seeps out. If fluid comes out, the level is adequate.
  • If no fluid comes out, this indicates that the fluid level is low.
4. Add Fluid if Necessary
  • If the fluid level is low, insert the clean funnel into the fill hole.
  • Add the recommended transmission fluid slowly until it starts to seep out of the fill hole.
  • Replace the fill plug and ensure it is securely tightened.
5. Clean Up
  • Wipe any spilled fluid with rags.
  • Dispose of any used rags properly to avoid fire hazards.
