Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and secured with wheel chocks.
  • Raise the vehicle using a jack and support it with jack stands.
2. Inspect Suspension Components
  • Tools Required: Visual inspection tools, flashlight
  • Confirm that all suspension components such as struts, control arms, and bushings are intact.
  • Look for signs of cracks, tears, or separation in rubber bushings.
3. Tighten or Replace Suspensions Bolts
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Check and tighten suspension bolts to manufacturer specifications.
  • If bolts are stripped or damaged, replace them with new ones.
4. Replace Worn Components
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, pry bar, possibly a spring compressor
  • If bushings, struts, or control arms are found to be worn, remove and replace them.
    • For control arms:
      1. Remove the wheel and brake caliper.
      2. Disconnect the control arm from the chassis and the steering knuckle.
      3. Install the new control arm and torque to specifications.
    • For struts:
      1. Remove the strut assembly.
      2. Replace worn strut with a new one and ensure proper alignment.
5. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle
  • Reattach wheels and ensure all fasteners are torqued to specifications.
  • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
