Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, socket set, multimeter, coolant pressure tester, and a torque wrench.
  • Ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery before starting work on the cooling system.
2. Replace Coolant Temperature Sensor
  1. Locate the coolant temperature sensor, usually found near the thermostat housing.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
  3. Use a socket to remove the sensor from its housing.
  4. Install the new coolant temperature sensor and torque it to the manufacturer's specifications (typically around 15 Nm).
  5. Reconnect the electrical connector securely.
3. Replace Thermostat (if faulty)
  1. Drain coolant to a level below the thermostat.
  2. Remove the thermostat housing by unbolting it and gently prying it off.
  3. Take out the old thermostat and inspect the rubber O-ring for wear.
  4. Install the new thermostat with a new O-ring, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Reattach the housing and torque bolts to the specified value.
4. Check and Replace Water Pump (if necessary)
  1. Inspect the water pump for leaks or unusual sounds.
  2. If defective, drain the coolant and disconnect hoses leading to the water pump.
  3. Unbolt the water pump from the engine block.
  4. Install the new water pump, ensuring proper alignment and torque specifications are met.
  5. Reconnect hoses and refill coolant as needed.
