Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed.
  • Tools: Small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, replacement key fob battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure location.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob housing.
  2. Remove the old battery from its compartment.
  3. Check the new battery with a multimeter to ensure it has sufficient voltage (around 3V).
  4. Insert the new battery in the correct orientation (positive side facing up).
  5. Snap the key fob housing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  2. Press any button on the key fob and hold it for approximately 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
  4. Test the key fob to see if it now unlocks the doors.
4. Inspect Central Locking System
  1. Check the fuse related to the central locking system in the fuse box.
  2. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage (consult owner’s manual for location and specs).
  3. Inspect the wiring and connections for signs of damage or corrosion.
