Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery compatible with the key fob (usually CR2032).
  • Safety warning: Always handle batteries with care and dispose of old batteries properly.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Take care not to damage the casing during the removal process.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery carefully, noting its orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press firmly until the casing snaps back together securely.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  • Press any button on the key fob for about 10 seconds to sync it with the vehicle.
  • Turn the ignition off and then test the key fob functions.
