Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and safety equipment.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Check and Top Off Oil
  • Remove the oil filler cap and inspect the oil condition.
  • If the oil level is low, add the appropriate type of oil as specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Replace the oil filler cap securely.
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
  • Apply a small amount of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
  • Install the new oil filter, tightening it by hand until snug, and then an additional 3/4 turn.
4. Perform an Oil Change (if necessary)
  • Drain the old oil by removing the drain plug under the oil pan. Allow it to fully drain into an oil pan.
  • Replace the drain plug with a new gasket and torque it to the manufacturer’s specifications (typically around 25 Nm).
  • Refill the engine with fresh oil through the oil filler cap, using the recommended oil type and quantity.
5. Check Oil Pressure
  • Reconnect the battery and start the engine.
  • Use a mechanical oil pressure gauge to check oil pressure at idle and at higher RPMs.
  • If oil pressure is still low, further investigation into the oil pump and oil passages may be necessary.
