Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  2. Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector by pressing the release tab and gently pulling it out.
  3. Remove the throttle body mounting screws with a socket set and carefully detach the throttle body from the intake manifold.
  4. Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth or brush to clean the throttle plate and interior surfaces of the throttle body. Ensure no debris falls into the intake manifold.
  5. Reattach the throttle body and secure it with the mounting screws, torquing them to the manufacturer’s specifications (typically around 10-15 Nm).
  6. Reconnect the electrical connector and air intake duct.
3. Replace Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (if necessary)
  1. Locate the accelerator pedal position sensor, typically found mounted on the accelerator pedal assembly.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
  3. Remove the screws or bolts securing the sensor to the pedal assembly using a socket set.
  4. Install the new sensor by reversing the removal steps, ensuring it is securely fastened and properly connected.
4. Clear Error Codes
  1. Reconnect the battery.
  2. Use an OBD-II scanner to clear any stored error codes from the engine control unit (ECU).
  3. Perform a throttle adaptation reset if applicable, following the manufacturer’s procedure.
