1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: None specifically, just the key fob or key.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is in park (automatic transmission) or neutral (manual transmission) for safety.
2. Turn on the Ignition
  1. Insert the key fob into the ignition or press the start button without pressing the brake pedal to turn on the ignition (position II), but do not start the engine.
  2. Wait for the dashboard lights to illuminate.
3. Access the Service Menu
  1. Press and hold the odometer reset button (located on the instrument cluster) until the service menu appears on the dashboard display.
  2. Release the button. The display will show the current service status.
4. Reset the Service Light
  1. Use the odometer reset button to scroll through the service items until you reach the one you wish to reset (e.g., Engine Oil, Brake Fluid, etc.).
  2. Once the desired item is highlighted, press and hold the odometer reset button until the message "Reset" appears.
  3. Release the button, then press and hold it again to confirm the reset when prompted.
5. Exit the Service Menu
  1. After the reset is confirmed, the display will return to the normal mode.
  2. Turn off the ignition and then start the engine to verify that the service light is no longer illuminated.
