Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver set, multimeter, and a replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and the ignition is turned off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery by gently lifting it out of the battery compartment.
  3. Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  3. Press any button on the key fob for approximately 10 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
  5. Test the key fob to see if it is functioning properly.
4. Check Vehicle’s Keyless Entry System
  1. If the key fob still does not work, check the vehicle's keyless entry receiver.
  2. Locate the receiver module, typically found under the dashboard or near the steering column.
  3. Inspect the wiring for any damage, loose connections, or corrosion.
  4. If damaged, consider replacing the keyless entry module.
