Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts.
  • Ensure the engine is cool before starting work on the fuel system.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove the bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift off the cover and set it aside.
3. Remove Fuel Injectors
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
  • Remove the fuel rail bolts using a socket set.
  • Gently pull the fuel rail away from the engine, taking care not to damage the injectors.
  • Carefully pull the injectors out of the fuel rail.
4. Inspect and Clean
  • Inspect each injector for clogs or damage. Clean with an injector cleaner or replace if necessary.
  • Check the O-rings on the injectors for wear and replace if necessary.
5. Install New Injectors
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of the new injectors to ensure a proper seal.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they are seated properly.
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the engine and secure with bolts, tightening to manufacturer specifications.
6. Reconnect Components
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors.
  • Reinstall the engine cover and secure it with the bolts removed earlier.
  • Reconnect the battery.
