Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Use wheel chocks to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
  • Remove the wheels to access the struts.
3. Remove Old Struts
  • Front Struts:

    1. Disconnect any electrical connectors or sensors attached to the struts.
    2. Unbolt the brake line bracket from the strut.
    3. Remove the upper strut mount bolts in the engine bay (consult service manual for exact locations).
    4. Unbolt the strut from the steering knuckle.
    5. Carefully remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
  • Rear Struts:

    1. Remove any covers or panels obstructing access.
    2. Unbolt the lower strut mount from the axle.
    3. Remove the upper strut mount bolts from the trunk area.
    4. Carefully extract the strut assembly from the rear.
4. Install New Struts
  • Front Struts:

    1. Position the new strut assembly into place.
    2. Bolt the strut to the steering knuckle and torque to manufacturer specifications.
    3. Reattach the upper strut mount bolts and torque to specifications.
    4. Reconnect any electrical connectors or sensors.
    5. Reattach the brake line bracket.
  • Rear Struts:

    1. Insert the new strut assembly into position.
    2. Bolt the upper strut mount in the trunk and torque to specifications.
    3. Attach the lower strut mount to the axle and secure it.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle.
  • Tighten all lug nuts to the specified torque.
  • Perform a test drive to ensure proper operation and handling.
