Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and properly secured.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and surrounding areas. Be careful not to damage the throttle position sensor.
  • Reassemble the intake duct and reconnect.
3. Inspect and Clean the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC)
  • Locate the IAC valve, typically mounted on the throttle body.
  • Remove the IAC valve by disconnecting the electrical connector and unscrewing the mounting bolts.
  • Clean the IAC valve with throttle body cleaner and a soft brush. Ensure the valve moves freely.
  • Reinstall the IAC valve and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Check and Clean the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF)
