Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Wear safety gloves and glasses for protection.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle as needed.
  • Securely place jack stands under the vehicle for safety.
3. Remove Wheel
  • Use a lug wrench to loosen and remove the wheel nuts.
  • Take off the wheel and set it aside.
4. Inspect Wheel Bearing
  • Visually inspect the wheel bearing for signs of damage, corrosion, or excessive grease leakage.
  • If necessary, remove the brake caliper and bracket to access the wheel hub.
5. Replace Wheel Bearing (if necessary)
  • Remove Hub Nut: Use a socket to remove the hub nut securing the wheel bearing.
  • Remove Hub Assembly: Use a bearing puller to extract the hub assembly.
  • Install New Bearing: Press the new wheel bearing into the hub assembly using a hydraulic press or appropriate tool.
  • Reassemble: Reattach the hub assembly, secure the hub nut to the manufacturer’s specified torque levels.
  • Reinstall the brake caliper and bracket if removed.
6. Reinstall Wheel
  • Place the wheel back onto the hub.
  • Hand-tighten the lug nuts and then use the torque wrench to tighten them to the specified torque.
