Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Jack, jack stands, wheel chocks, socket set, torque wrench, pry bar.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery (if working on electronic components).
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and place it securely on jack stands.
  • Ensure the vehicle is stable before proceeding.
3. Inspect and Replace Components
  • Strut Mounts/Bushings:

    1. Remove the wheel to access suspension components.
    2. Inspect the strut mounts for cracks or wear.
    3. Unbolt the strut from the mount using a socket set.
    4. Replace with new strut mounts and torque bolts to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Control Arms and Ball Joints:

    1. Inspect control arms for bending or excessive wear.
    2. Use a pry bar to check ball joint play.
    3. If worn, remove the control arm bolts and replace the control arm and/or ball joint.
4. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Reconnect the battery.
5. Torque and Final Check
  • Ensure all bolts are torqued to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Double-check the installation of any replaced parts to ensure proper alignment and fit.
