Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, OBD-II scanner, multimeter, fuel pressure gauge, screwdrivers, fuel injector removal tool.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Unscrew any bolts or fasteners securing the engine cover.
  • Gently lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Access Fuel Injectors
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail (use a rag to catch any spillage).
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
4. Remove Fuel Rail and Injectors
  • Remove the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
  • Carefully lift the fuel rail off, ensuring the injectors come out with it.
  • If necessary, use a fuel injector removal tool to extract the injectors from the rail.
5. Install New Fuel Injectors
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new injectors with clean engine oil to ensure a proper seal.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail and press them in until they seat properly.
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the intake manifold, tightening bolts to manufacturer torque specifications.
6. Reconnect Fuel Lines and Electrical Connectors
  • Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel rail.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to the injectors, ensuring a secure fit.
7. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with bolts or fasteners.
8. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the injectors and fuel lines.
