Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, CR2032 battery (or specific model battery for your fob), multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location, and all doors are closed.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Be cautious not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Carefully remove the old battery from the fob.
  • Take note of the battery orientation (positive side facing up) for proper installation.
  • Insert the new battery in the same orientation.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press them together firmly until they click into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps in the casing.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob
  • Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition (if applicable) and turn to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob for approximately 10 seconds.
  • Turn the key off and remove it from the ignition, then test the fob to see if it works.
