Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent electrical damage.

Tools Required:

  • OBD-II scanner
  • Multimeter
  • Socket set
  • Torque wrench
  • Screwdrivers
  • Wire strippers and connectors (if repairs are needed)
2. Remove the Right Front Wheel
  • Loosen the lug nuts on the right front wheel.
  • Jack up the vehicle using a hydraulic jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
3. Inspect and Replace the Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Locate the wheel speed sensor on the right front wheel hub assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.
  • Unbolt the sensor from its mounting position using a socket wrench.
  • Inspect the sensor for any physical damage.
  • If damaged, replace it with a new sensor by reversing the removal steps:
    • Install the new sensor and tighten it to the manufacturer's torque specification.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the right front wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle and then torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Reconnect the battery and start the vehicle.
  • Clear the codes using the OBD-II scanner and take the vehicle for a test drive to verify that the C0030 code does not reappear.
