Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Remove the Wheel
  • Using a jack, lift the front left side of the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts with a socket set and take off the front left wheel.
3. Replace Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Locate the wheel speed sensor on the front left hub assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor by pressing the release tab and pulling it away.
  • Remove the retaining bolt(s) using a socket set and carefully extract the old sensor from its mounting hole.
  • Install the new wheel speed sensor into the mounting hole and secure it with the retaining bolt(s) to the specified torque (typically around 8-10 Nm).
  • Reconnect the electrical connector to the new sensor.
4. Reassemble Components
  • Reinstall the front left wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specified torque settings (usually around 120 Nm).
5. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
  • Start the engine and check for error codes using the OBD-II scanner to ensure C0050 has been cleared.
  • Perform a test drive to confirm proper operation of the ABS and traction control systems.
