Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to ensure safety.
2. Replace AC Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box (typically found under the dashboard or in the engine compartment).
  • Find the fuse related to the AC system (check the owner's manual for the exact fuse location).
  • Remove the blown fuse with a fuse puller and replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
3. Recharge Refrigerant
  • Use the manifold gauge set to connect to the low and high-pressure ports of the AC system.
    • Low-pressure port: usually blue, located on the larger diameter line.
    • High-pressure port: usually red, located on the smaller diameter line.
  • Check the pressure readings; if low, proceed to recharge the system with the appropriate refrigerant (R-134a or R-1234yf, depending on the model).
    • Connect the refrigerant can to the low-pressure side and follow the instructions to add refrigerant until the correct pressure is reached.
  • Monitor the system while adding refrigerant to avoid overcharging.
4. Inspect and Replace Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove it to access the cabin air filter housing.
  • Remove the old cabin air filter and inspect it for dirt and debris.
  • Install a new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly according to airflow direction.
5. Check and Replace AC Compressor (if necessary)
  • If the compressor is found to be damaged or not engaging, replace it as follows:
    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the AC compressor.
    • Remove any serpentine belt connected to the compressor.
    • Unscrew and detach the compressor from its mounting brackets.
    • Install the new compressor, tightening bolts to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector and reinstall the serpentine belt.
