Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a small flathead screwdriver, a new battery (CR2032), and a clean workspace.
  • Ensure the vehicle is turned off to avoid interference with the key fob's signal.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small notch on the side of the key fob.
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver gently into the notch and twist it to pry open the key fob casing. Be careful not to damage the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the key fob is open, observe the orientation of the battery.
  • Carefully lift the old battery out of the compartment using the screwdriver or your fingers, noting the correct orientation (positive side facing up).
4. Insert the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment, ensuring it is positioned in the same orientation as the old battery.
  • Press down gently to secure the battery in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press the halves together firmly until you hear a click, indicating the fob is securely closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and test all functions of the key fob, including locking/unlocking doors and starting the engine.
