Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before beginning work.
2. Clean or Replace Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Socket set, throttle body cleaner, microfiber cloth.
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Clean the throttle body opening and plate using throttle body cleaner and a microfiber cloth.
  • Reinstall the air intake duct securely.
3. Test and Replace Fuel Pump (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge, socket set, safety glasses, gloves.
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  • Turn the ignition on (do not start the engine) to check the fuel pressure reading against manufacturer specifications.
  • If the pressure is low, replace the fuel pump:
    • Relieve fuel system pressure using the service manual procedure.
    • Disconnect the battery.
    • Remove the fuel tank access cover (if applicable) or lower the fuel tank.
    • Unscrew and remove the fuel pump assembly, then install the new fuel pump.
    • Reconnect all components and ensure no fuel leaks are present.
4. Inspect and Clean MAF Sensor
  • Tools Required: MAF sensor cleaner, screwdriver.
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake system.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from its housing.
  • Spray the sensor with MAF cleaner and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
5. Check and Clean IAC Valve
  • Tools Required: Screwdriver, cleaning solvent.
  • Locate the IAC valve, usually near the throttle body.
  • Remove the IAC valve from its mounting position.
  • Clean the valve with an appropriate solvent and check for proper operation.
  • Reinstall the IAC valve.
