Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver or a key fob opening tool.
  • Ensure you are working in a clean area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing. Insert the screwdriver into the seam and twist carefully to avoid damaging the plastic.
  • Once you create an opening, work your way around the fob until it separates into two halves.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Locate the battery inside the key fob. It is typically a CR2032 coin cell battery.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive and negative sides).
  • Use the screwdriver to carefully pop the battery out of its holder.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the holder, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up as per the original orientation.
  • Press down gently until the battery clicks into place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
