Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Safely elevate the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface.
2. Remove Old Struts/Shocks
  • Front Struts:

    1. Remove the wheel to access the strut assembly.
    2. Disconnect the brake line from the strut (if applicable).
    3. Remove the strut mounting bolts located at the top of the strut tower and at the lower control arm.
    4. Carefully detach the strut from the vehicle.
  • Rear Shocks:

    1. Remove the wheel to access the shock absorber.
    2. Remove the bolts securing the bottom of the shock to the axle.

    4. Carefully pull the shock absorber out of the mounting brackets.
3. Install New Struts/Shocks
  • Front Struts:

    1. Position the new strut in place and secure it with the lower control arm bolt and upper strut tower bolts.
    2. Reattach the brake line (if removed) and ensure it is secured properly.
  • Rear Shocks:

    1. Insert the new shock absorber into the mounting brackets.
    2. Secure the top and bottom bolts, ensuring proper torque according to manufacturer specifications.
4. Reassemble and Test
  • Reattach the wheels and lower the vehicle.
  • Perform a test drive to assess handling and comfort.

Tools Required:

  • Jack and jack stands
