Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: a small flat-head screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), and key fob.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Start at the seam where the two halves meet, taking care not to damage the casing.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob, noting the orientation.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the correct orientation (positive side facing up).
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in the battery compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press the halves together firmly until they snap back into place.
5. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand close to the vehicle and press the lock/unlock buttons.
  • Check if the indicator light illuminates and if the vehicle responds to the key fob commands.
