Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or plastic trim removal tool
    • Clean cloth or vacuum
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any items inside.
  2. Locate the stop limit on the right side of the glove compartment. Gently push inwards to release the glove compartment from the stops.
  3. Lower the glove compartment fully to expose the cabin air filter cover.
3. Remove the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically a rectangular plastic panel.
  2. Release the clips or screws securing the cover (if applicable) using a flathead screwdriver or trim tool.
  3. Carefully pull off the cabin air filter cover to access the filter.
  4. Remove the old cabin air filter by pulling it straight out of the housing. Note the orientation of the filter for correct installation of the new one.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Unbox the new cabin air filter and ensure it is clean and free of defects.
  2. Insert the new filter in the same orientation as the old filter (ensure the airflow direction matches the markings on the filter).
  3. Reattach the cabin air filter cover by securing the clips or screws back into place.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position and push it until the stops click back into place.
  2. Reload the glove compartment with items and ensure it opens and closes properly.
