Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools such as a flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, and a multimeter.
  • Obtain a new CR2032 battery (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and the doors are closed.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the key fob casing at the seam.

  • Press the halves together firmly until they click into place.
  • If applicable, reinstall the Phillips screw to secure the casing.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Press any button on the key fob within 30 seconds to program it.
  • Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
