Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: Phillips screwdriver, small flathead screwdriver, and a new CR2032 battery (if required).
  • Disconnect the battery from the vehicle to avoid any electrical issues during the reset process.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob along the seam.
  • Carefully separate the two halves to avoid damaging the clips.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery by noting its orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation as the old one.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click securely.
  • Ensure that all clips are properly engaged.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob
  • Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine) and then back to "OFF" five times within 10 seconds.
  • Leave the key in the "ON" position on the fifth turn. The vehicle's locks should cycle, indicating that the programming mode has been activated.
  • Press any button on the key fob to program it to the vehicle. The locks will cycle again to confirm successful programming.
  • Turn the ignition to "OFF" to exit programming mode.
6. Reconnect the Battery
  • Reconnect the vehicle's battery terminals and ensure they are secure.
