Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Clean cloth
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the glove compartment and open it fully.
  • Remove the contents of the glove compartment for easier access.
  • Locate the stop arm (on either side of the glove compartment) and gently squeeze the sides to release it, allowing the glove compartment to drop down.
  • If necessary, remove any screws securing the access panel for the cabin air filter using a flathead screwdriver.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Once the access panel is removed, gently pull out the old cabin air filter. Note the orientation of the filter for proper installation of the new one.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented correctly, matching the airflow direction indicated on the filter.
  • Slide the new filter into the housing until it is fully seated.
  • Reattach the access panel and secure it with screws if applicable.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Lift the glove compartment back into its original position and reattach the stop arm by pressing it into place.
  • Replace all items removed from the glove compartment.
