Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, replacement battery (CR2032 or equivalent).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe and secure location.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Carefully use the small flathead screwdriver to pry apart the key fob halves, starting at the seam.
  • Take care not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.
  • Insert the new battery (CR2032) with the positive (+) side facing up.
  • Ensure the battery is seated securely in its compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap back into place.
  • Avoid using excessive force to prevent damage.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine), then turn it back to "OFF".
  • Remove the key and within 40 seconds, press the "Lock" button on the key fob for 5 seconds.
  • Repeat the "ON" and "OFF" cycle two more times, finishing with the key in "OFF" and pressing the "Lock" button again to complete the process.
